This cute little Peter Patches pin is one of Avon’s Pin Pal brooches. Introduced in 1975, this sweet pin features Peter Patches, a smiling plastic scarecrow dressed in blue jeans, yellow shirt and orange hat. The pin originally held a solid perfume known as fragrance glace. A door on Peter’s back opens to reveal the solid perfume that is still there. It can be cleaned out to fill with other mementos if you choose. The pin measures approximately 2½” H  x  2½” at the widest point and closes with a locking C clasp. The pin is marked AVON FRAGRANCE GLACE and signed ©AVON PRODUCTS INC. 1975  New York N.Y. 10019. The pin comes in its original box and is in excellent vintage condition.
